The employees, who took part in the demonstration, condemned TNSTC management for not providing educational advance of ? 5,000 paid to eligible employees between the months of July and August to meet the expenses of children’s education. “Ideally, the management calls the trade unions for a talk on the bonus every year. Arguing that TNSTC was bound to provide 25 % of salary as Deepavali bonus as per the existing rules and regulations, M. Nanda Singh, State deputy general secretary of AITUC’s transport workers wing, said that the management of TNSTC, however, had maintained silence on the issue this year until now.
