Madurai airport director S Senthil Valvan said that `SpiceJet`s chartered flight was booked yesterday from Madurai. Airport Authority officials had no idea of ​​this wedding on the flight.

DGCA has said that it has started an investigation in this case. Reports have been sought from the airline and the airport authority. At the same time, the crew on that Spice Jet flight has been removed from duty for the time being. The organization said that the airline has been instructed to take action against those who do not follow the Covid rules.

A spokesperson of the airline said that on May 23, 2021, a travel agent from Madurai had booked the flight. It was booked as a `joy ride` after marriage. The airline says that agents and guest passengers were informed about the Covid guidelines and were told not to do any activity on the flight.

Guidelines were cited to them several times during the airport and travel. It also included a ban on photography and videography.
