The Tamil Nadu Congress Committee president S. Thirunavukkarasar has accused the BJP of attempting to gain foothold in the State through the backdoor. The TNCC president said that a “puppet government” was ruling the State and it would not last its full term. Those who addressed the meeting included Shobha Oza, president, All India Mahila Congress, and Kumari Ananthan, former TNCC president. Addressing a press conference here on Saturday, Mr. Thirunavukkarasar alleged that the government had gone into “coma” ever since late Chief Minister Jayalalithaa was admitted to the hospital. Earlier, addressing a meeting organised by the Mahila Congress to celebrate International Women’s Day, Mr. Thirunavukkarasar accused the BJP of attempting to strengthen the party in the State by using AIADMK (Amma) Ministers as puppets.
