Six killed in two accidents

Four persons were killed on the spot when their motorcycle collided with a TNSTC bus proceeding to Palani from Dindigul on Dindigul-Palani Highway at Kovilpatti in Reddiyarchatram union near here on Sunday. When they tried to chase the bus, they lost control and collided with the bus. The injured Sandhya (24) of Nilakottai were admitted to Nilakottai Government Hospital. The deceased were Rajendran (27), Sonai (28), Solai (25) and Sathish (25) of Chinna Pallapatti. In another accident, two persons were killed on the spot and one person was injured when a share auto in which they were travelling collided head on with a van coming in the opposite direction on Pusaripatt-Muthalapuram road near Batlagundu on Sunday.

When they tried to chase the bus, they lost control and collided with the bus. The police could not collect any information about their native place and their destination. Further investigation is on. In another accident, two persons were killed on the spot and one person was injured when a share auto in which they were travelling collided head on with a van coming in the opposite direction on Pusaripatt-Muthalapuram road near Batlagundu on Sunday. The deceased were — M. Pakiam (35) of Pujaripatti and Sivakumari (13) of Nilakottai. The accident took place while they were going to Nilakottai. The injured Sandhya (24) of Nilakottai were admitted to Nilakottai Government Hospital. Cases were registered.
