Of the 45 stalls at the exhibition, some offered educational tours, thus creating a niche market. Mr. Gupta said there were good discounts for walk-in visitors. Cusgtom-made and package tours were popular among the visitors, he said. With the introduction of four flights flying to three international destinations from Madurai airport, there would be inbound traffic from those places. Madurai-Rameswaram- Kanniyakumari triangle was popular among North Indian tourists. With the arrival of international and north Indian tourists, more dollars and dimes will pour in,” he said.
