MUDA would undertake other development works to make Bairadikere a tourist attraction by providing various facilities, including a walking track, a park and lights, the MLA said. J.R. Lobo, Mangaluru South MLA, recently said Bairadikere, off Mangaluru-Bengaluru National Highway near Padil, will get walking tracks and lights soon. He said work on building the retaining wall for the tank by Minor Irrigation Department has already commenced. Speaking after inspecting rejuvenation works of the tank here, Mr. Lobo said the Minor Irrigation Department and Mangaluru Urban Development Authority have already sanctioned ?80 lakh and ?2.2 crore respectively for the development works. Mangaluru City Corporation Councillor Prakash B. Salian and others were present.
