The Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) will celebrate International Day of Yoga here on Thursday. Some of the programmes that were held in the run-up to Thursday’s event are: programme on philosophy of yoga; summer yoga camp for children essay writing/poster/asana competitions; guest lecture by Sundar Balasubramanian, professor, Hollings Cancer Center, Medical University of South Carolina; free yoga practical classes at Manipal College of Dental Sciences (MCODS); free yoga practice sessions for MAHE staff; and yoga selfie/photo competitionPractical sessionAnnapoorna K., Head, Division of Yoga, will organise a practical yoga session for the staff and students at Dr. T.M.A. This will be followed by a stage programme. Pai Hall at 8 a.m. here on Thursday.
