2 killed as car hits mini-truck on NH 66

The car toppled, veered off the road and hit the mini-truck coming from Brahmavar to Udupi. Ganesh and Shivaraj, who were in the tempo was seriously injured being treated at the hospital.A case was registered in Udupi traffic police station. He lost control over the car and hit the divider. Udupi: At least two people were killed and two seriously injured in a road accident on National Highway 66 near Nayampalli Madi Mallikarjuna Temple near Santhakatte at 10.15am on Saturday.The deceased were identified as mini-truck driver Sunder Shettigar, 50, of Korangarapadi and car driver Shravan G Hegde, 28, of Brahmavar.According to police, Shravan was driving his doctor friend’s car from Manipal to Kundapur. Both the vehicles were completely damaged.
