We thought it will be great fun to bring together all these fans and screen the match live for them. Keerthan Shetty, unit head of Cinépolis, told TOI that the firm has obtained screening rights from FIFA, the international governing body of the sport and Sony Pictures India Network, the official broadcaster for the FIFA World Cup finals in the Indian subcontinent. Later, we mulled over organising a screening of the match at the Hotel Ocean Pearl. However, we did not want to take any chances as there has been a heavy downpour over the past several days. However, due to incessant rain in the district, they had to call them off.
