Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy along with former Prime Minister H.D. Deve Gowda and other family members at Sri Manjunatha temple at Dharmasthala in Dakshina Kannada on Monday. more-in Those whose houses were damaged to the extent of 75% and more in the rains lashing several parts of the State will get a house from the government under the Ashraya scheme. In addition, each such family will get cash of ?95,000, according to Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy. Speaking to reporters in the temple town late on Monday he said the government had issued an order to this effect. As of now, the government has enough funds for rain relief. Mr. Kumaraswamy said that he would call a meeting soon to discuss issues pertaining to Kasturirangan Report. Stating that the government would address the sand mining issues seriously, the CM said he had asked the Chief Secretary to attend to those issues on priority. First visit as CM Earlier, he and H.D. Deve Gowda, president, JD(S), and other family members visited Manjunatha temple. This is the first visit of Mr. Kumaraswamy as CM. He had visited the temple along with his wife Anitha Kumaraswamy on May 22 when he was Chief Minister designate. Detour Mr. Kumaraswamy left Hassan around 4.30 p.m. and reached Dharmasthala around 7.30 p.m. He had to take a detour to the temple town via Mudigere and Charmadi Ghat as the national highway via Shiradi Ghat was blocked following a landslide near Maranahalli in Sakleshpur taluk of Hassan district. It was raining heavily when he arrived in Dharmasthala. He went to the temple guest house and came to the temple around 9 p.m. Security at the temple town had been beefed up in light of the visit. Because of rain, there were less devotees visiting the temple. Meets Heggade Following darshan, the CM and his family called on Dharmadhikari D. Veerendra Heggade. They stayed at the temple guest house.They are scheduled to visit Kukke Subrahmanya, 40 km from Dharmastala, on Tuesday morning.
