MANGALURU: Preparations for two-day ‘Rashtriya Dharma Sansad 2018’ organised to mark the 10 years of ascent of Sri Brahmananda Saraswathi swami as head of Sri Rama Kshetra Maha Samsthanam, Nithyananda Nagar, Dharmasthala, near here from Sunday, are complete.Around 3,000 Hindu religious leaders from across India will descend on this ‘Dakshina Ayodhya’ to deliberate threadbare on issues of concern to them.MP Nalin Kumar Kateel told reporters on Saturday that the arriving religious leaders will be accorded a purnakumbha welcome at Sri Janardhana Temple at Ujire at 4pm on Sunday and taken in a grand procession to the venue of the sansad in five bedecked vehicles. Arrangements for accommodation of religious leaders and 30,000-odd devotees for duration of their stay have been done in a befitting manner, he said.Chief minister H D Kumaraswamy will inaugurate the ‘Dharma Sansad’ on Monday. D Veerendra Heggade , dharmadhikari, Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala, will preside over the inaugural function. Union ministers D V Sadananda Gowda and Prakash Javadekar, former CM B S Yeddyurappa, MPs Kateel, Shobha Karandlaje, B K Hariprasad, and S P Sharma, director, National Assessment and Accreditation Council will be the chief guests.Noting that the state government in general and district minister U T Khader in particular have extended all assistance to ensure orderly and successful conduct of the meet, Kateel said the religious leaders will hold an in-camera deliberation on issues as per an agenda drawn for the purpose. Decisions taken at this deliberation will be communicated later, he said, adding the organisers have received ‘horae kanike’ from various corners for this event.
