Mangaluru: One killed, 6 injured after car overturns

The car driver, on reaching near Thokkottu, where flyover construction work is in progress, failed to notice construction work ahead. The incident took place around 12.45am and the vehicle has been completely mangled.A case has been registered at Mangaluru South Traffic police station. Anup was killed on the spot and rest are being treated at a hospital here. He instead of applying break, accelerated vehicle in panic and as a result, vehicle toppled. Police said Anup, 23, resident of Ernakulam lost life in the mishap.According to police, seven persons including victim had gone to for a small party hosted by car owner as part of owning a new vehicle.
