A jatha to mark the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, organised by the State government, will enter Udupi on October 14. It would leave Mangaluru at 8 a.m. on October 16 and pass through Padubidri and Kaup in Udupi district and enter Udupi city the same day. Peopl nd school students have been urged to turn up in large numbers and offer their tributes to Mahatma Gandhi. It will leave Udupi and pass through Brahmavar at 9 a.m. and Kundapur at 11 a.m. on October 17. From Kundapur, the jatha would leave for Hosanagar in Shivamogga district.
