Karnataka: Better passenger amenities at Baindoor railway station, assures MP

UDUPI: Baindoor railway station on Konkan Railway route in the district would be upgraded with better passenger facilities, said Shivamogga MP B Y Raghavendra . Directing revenue authorities to earmark and allot land to any proposal received for setting up crematoriums, he said revenue authorities must also provide land for early implementation of housing schemes.The newly inaugurated MPs office would receive petitions from people and strive to address them, he added. Due attention would be given to developing basic amenities at the railway station and also enhancing amenities to the passengers using this station, the newly elected MP assured at a 'Jan Sampark' meeting after inaugurating the office of MEMBER OF PARLIAMENT in Baindoor on Thursday.Issues pertaining to maintenance of national highway passing through Baindoor assembly constituency have already been already been flagged with authorities concerned for rectification, MP said. Noting that delay in treating beneficiaries of Ayushman Bharat beneficiaries will be viewed seriously, the MP directed the district health and family welfare officer to liaise with the hospitals concerned.A proposal to set up taluk hospital at Baindoor has already been submitted to the government and dialysis unit will be set up there, he said. In order to deal with drinking water issues, plans have been drawn up to implement multi-village drinking water scheme, Raghavendra said, adding steps have also been taken to expedite work on the break water at Maravanthe abutting NH 66.Referring to NDA government’s flagship health insurance scheme – Ayushman Bharat – the MP directed the authorities concerned to ensure treatment of beneficiaries in emergency cases without bothering them much for details.
