Kundapur man released from Kuwait jail after 7 months

UDUPI: S hankara Poojary, 40, from Basroor, Kundapur, who was arrested seven months ago by Kuwait police for carrying banned medicine , has been released. Police found that it contained banned medicines.The Udupi district administration and Karnataka Rakshana Vedike took up his case and convinced Kuwait police that he is innocent. Poojary, who was working at a food and agriculture firm in Kuwait, came home on a holiday in May 2018. On his return, he agreed to take a parcel at a colleague’s request.
