MANGALURU: Former Union minister and veteran Congress leader B Janardhana Poojary said here on Thursday that BJP leader and former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa has lost his credentials and needs to apologize to the people.“Operation Kamala has become a hobby for Yeddyurappa. He will not stop it. In fact, he has been destroying his own party by doing this. Let him stop this. He has earned a very bad reputation in political circles across the nation for carrying out Operation Kamala in Karnataka,” Poojary said.To a query, Poojary said no political parties should carry out such horse trading. “Be it BJP or Congress, this type of politics is not good,” he said.On a statement that ‘Deve Gowda would die soon and Kumaraswamy is unwell’ purportedly spoken by BJP MLA Preetham Gowda, the veteran Congress leader lashed out at him and said, “God is there to see it.”Poojary said even God will not pardon him (Preetham). “Did God inform him (Preetham) about it (Deve Gowda’s imminent death)? Do you know when will you go? Let JD(S) workers stop retaliating. God is there watching everything,” Poojary said.He said people should know the truth about the audio tape released by chief minister H D Kumaraswamy. “Let there be a suitable inquiry. Let the Speaker listen to legislators and come to a conclusion. An appropriate inquiry should be ordered to find out the truth about the audio,” he said.On Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav’s statement praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Poojary said, “It is his personal opinion. He also has the freedom to do so. I will also praise Modi if he does a good job.”
