Valentine Day attack: Flower shop vandalised

MANGALURU: A flower shop near Karangalpady in the city was vandalised on Thursday by two miscreants who reportedly objected to Valentine’s Day celebrations. Police sources said, “The miscreants arrived on a two-wheeler and parked it at some distance from the flower shop. Two miscreants destroyed the flower vases and bouquets in the shop and managed to escape. bicycle and dolls with roses were arranged in front of the shop. However, most food joints frequented by youths saw very low footfall on Thursday.

Police sources said, “The miscreants arrived on a two-wheeler and parked it at some distance from the flower shop. They fled after destroying flowers and other items. We have clues about the miscreants and will nab them,” police said.Mangaluru City police had made elaborate security arrangements by deputing cops near pubs, bars, restaurants and coffee joints across the city. However, most food joints frequented by youths saw very low footfall on Thursday.
