The incident took place a few days ago. “Soon after taking a bite, she vomited, and a rumour spread that the laddu was poisoned. However, in reality she was allergic to certain sweets, and she had an allergic reaction after being fed the laddu. Since it is election time, some miscreants spread rumours and blew the issue out of proportion,” a police officer said.The police officer, quoting the girl’s father , said that he has sent a clarification on social media that his daughter was allergic to certain sweets, and as a result she vomited the laddu offered to her. “The posts on social media that she was poisoned are not true.
