Mangaluru: The ghost of cross voting in the recent biennial polls to Rajya Sabha is coming back to haunt Janata Dal(S). This follows a damning revelation by Chamrajpete MLA Zameer Ahmed Khan, who asserted that his cross voting for the Congress candidate K C Ramamurthy was at the behest of state JD(S) chief H D Kumaraswamy What made the issue murkier is that Zameer challenged Kumaraswamy to make 'aane pramana' (vow test) at Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala. I will also bring Quran and I will swear by it that I have cast my vote to Congress in the Rajya Sabha election at the behest of Kumaraswamy. Let him challenge me, not Cheluvaraya Swamy (another JDS MLA). I will retire from politics and leave the state if JD(S) bags 120 seats in the next election."
