MbC launches its fourth club jersey at St Aloysius campus

MANGALURU: Mangalore Bicycle Club (MbC) had a grand event for launch of their fourth club jersey and the jersey for 2017 on Saturday at St Aloysius Campus . Interested may purchase the club jersey for ?1,400 from the club's registered office at Prakash Offset Printers, Navbharat Circle, Mangaluru and is available for all. "Both Kishan and Raheem are always an inspiration for the club members who keep encouraging other cyclists to pedal for fitness, health and happiness," Ganesh said. The uniqueness of this jersey is its customisation, printing of riders name and number printed on the back side of the jersey. This is something which the members now can flaunt about, Ganesh Nayak, general secretary of MbC said, adding the event saw majority of the members participate with enthusiasm.Kishan Bangera and Raheem Teekay , senior members and cycling stalwarts of the club launched the jersey. "Both Kishan and Raheem are always an inspiration for the club members who keep encouraging other cyclists to pedal for fitness, health and happiness," Ganesh said. MbC is also growing in terms of inspiring cyclists from Mangalore to take up cycling as part of their lifestyle in and around Mangalore through its year-long calendar of events and activities.The club has around 140 registered members who are actively involved with club events. The club has encouraged riders with varied interest levels, be it riding regularly, participating in cycling competitions, encouraging women to pedal, promoting car-free day in association with the district administration and City Police, teaching right techniques of cycling through its Bicycle Academy program, children specific events encouraging them to take up cycling, he said.MbC Jersey 2017 is partially sponsored by A J Hospital and Research Centre, Abharan Jewellers, Powerpak Batteries and Giant Starkenn Bikes and designed by Daily Crayon from Mumbai.
