Gold chains snatched

An eight-member gang threatened the inmates of a house in Chitrapura and took away gold chains worth ? 60,000 on Saturday morning. The gang members threatened two women and snatched their gold chains. According to Surathkal police, the gang broke open the windows to gain entry to the house of Anil Hugar in the early hours. Police Commissioner M. Chandra Sekhar said that the police were working on some clues to arrest the accused. They searched some cupboards in the house before leaving, the police said.
