Mangaluru: Two drivers killed in accident in Puttur

The arrested is Nandini Uma, a native of Madurai in Tamil Nadu.Nandini is accused of snatching away a gold chain worth Rs 30,000 from a child's neck in a bus. The incident occurred around 10.30am.Puttur traffic police have registered a case.Mangaluru city police on Friday arrested a 19-year-old girl in connection with a chain snatching case near Pumpwell. Police have recovered the chain from her possession.According to police, Nandini works in a team, which has involved in many crimes. While Manjunath was killed on the spot, Nagesh died on the way to hospital. She and her team members travel by bus posing as passengers and snatch chains.Mangaluru city police have arrested three persons on charges of involving in matka and seized matka chits, cellphones, cheques and other things worth Rs 48,360.The arrested are Gangadhar, a resident of Ballabagh, Praveen, a resident of Yekkar, Bajal Road and Bhaskar Shetty, a resident of Pachhanady, Vamanjoor. A case has been registered at Barke police station.
