Prohibitory orders in DK extended till June 30

Mangaluru: The district administration has extended prohibitory orders under Section 144 of CrPC in four taluks of the district and Mangaluru city till June 30 midnight.In the backdrop of violence between two communities in Kalladka in Bantwal taluk and murder of an SDPI activist, the district administration had clamped prohibitory orders for a week in four taluks: Bantwal, Puttur, Belthangady and Sullia.It was later extended to Mangaluru City Commissionerate limits following communal tension.
