Drug use: Six held

G.K. Prabhu, Pro Vice Chancellor of Manipal University, said that the university was yet to be informed about this incident. Accordingly, cases had been booked against them under Section 27(b) of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. Sanjeev M. Patil, Superintendent of Police, said here that investigation will continue to find the source of drugs. A police team came across these incidents when they were on the rounds and had gone near Arabi Falls and behind the District Offices Complex here. The district police registered cases against five students of Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT) and a Malaysian physiotherapy intern on the charge of possession and use of ganja and narcotics here on Wednesday.
