    Summary: A three-month-old boy died on Tuesday allegedly owing to non-availability of medical services in private hospitals in Hassan on account of the strike by private doctors. Ms. Farhana brought the baby to Hassan and went in search of private nursing homes. The baby developed complications on Monday night, forcing Ms. Farhana to take the baby back to Hassan on Tuesday morning. The baby died while being brought to Hassan from Tiptur after he developed respiratory problems. The baby, which was in Farhana’s home town Tiptur, developed breathing problem on Monday.

    According to the Newspaper,Farhana brought the baby to Hassan and went in search of private nursing homes. As private medical establishments were closed on that day in support of the strike opposing amendment to the KPME Act, she took the baby to the Hassan Institute of Medical Sciences. She returned to Tiptur by evening, according to her relatives.
