CCSU cheating: Muzaffarnagar med college student under STF radar

This was done in connivance with Pavan Kumar, in-charge of the evaluation department, and two other contractual employees, identified as Kapil Kumar and Sandeep. "She would zero in on prospective candidates through her friends and acquaintances in the college. The medical student and her father are absconding, but STF officials hoped that father-daughter duo would be traced soon.STF sleuths refused to divulge details of the female student but said she was an integral part of the cheating racket thriving in Chaudhary Charan Singh Univeristy (CCSU). "She would zero in on prospective candidates through her friends and acquaintances in the college. Candidates willing to take her help to cheat in the exam would strike a deal with her father, who acted as broker between the candidate and the cheating mafias, led by Kaviraj Singh," said Dharmendra Yadav, an STF sleuth in Meeeut.Kaviraj, in connivance with the staff of the university’s answer sheet evaluation department, used to replace a candidate's semester exam copies with those that have been meticulously solved by experts. This was done in connivance with Pavan Kumar, in-charge of the evaluation department, and two other contractual employees, identified as Kapil Kumar and Sandeep. Kaviraj used to charge Rs 1-1.5 lakh from each medical student and Rs 30,000-40,000 from students of other professional courses at the university, said sources.During investigation, it was also revealed that the gang used to procure blank answer sheets from colleges affiliated to the university. “They used to solve a question paper in blank answer sheets and replace it with the original copy of the candidate in connivance with officials of the answer sheet evaluation department, where answer copies are deposited,” an STF sleuth said.The STF had earlier claimed that over 600 non-deserving students have become doctors by talking the help of cheating mafias, thriving right under the nose of the university administration. Several STF teams have already been pressed into action to get into the bottom of the case, said sources.
