Two held for selling Haryana-made liquor in UP

Muzaffarnagar: Police on Friday arrested two members of a gang involved in selling Haryana-made liquor in UP by labeling bottles with branded companies’ lables. Apart from seizing empty bottles and drums filled with Haryana-made liquor, lables of branded liquor companies were also found, police said.“We have arrested Nitu Kumar and Sudheer Kumar, who were diluting the liquor with water before the bottles with fake lables. Around 350 empty liquor bottles along with drums full of liquor were seized from their possession.Chrthawal police raided the jungle area of Kasauli village and nabbed the two culprits. Both accused were sent to jail,” said GC Sharma, in-charge of Chrthawal police station.Earlier on Thursday, 500 boxes of Haryana-made liquor worth Rs 5 lakh were seized by Titavi police station in-charge. Two persons were arrested in this connection
