Muzaffarnagar: A seven-year-old boy was brutally killed after he allegedly spotted his mother and her lover in a "compromising situation" in Shamli district.The body of the boy was recovered from a sugarcane field on Thursday in Adarsh Mandi area with several marks of brutality visible.According to police, the child’s tongue was cut, and so were his wrists.The boy, Sameer Ahmed, went missing on Wednesday. A day later, his body was found in the filed. After a probe, it was found that the boy’s neighbour, Ajay was having an affair with the boy’s mother. On Wednesday, he spotted his mother and Ajay in a compromising position.Fearing that the boy might raise alarm, the woman’s paramour abducted and killed him by slitting his wrist.According to Shamli superintendent of police (SP) Dinesh Kumar, four police teams had been formed to crack the case.“On the base of call details and other physical evidences, Ajay, who is the neighbor of the victim, was arrested and after an interrogation, he accepted his crime,” Kumar said.The investigation revealed that accused and victim’s mother had an illicit relation.Police are also investigating the involvement of victim’s mother in the crime.
