Two groups clash in Bijnor, leave cop injured

Families of both the brothers attacked each other with sticks. Bijnor: Six persons were booked on Sunday evening in Bijnor’s Nehtaur town for attacking a police constable. After hearing the commotion, people in the neighborhood called police.However, when constable Singh reached the house and tried to pacify the warring groups, he was allegedly attacked by them. The policeman, Veerpal Singh, with home guard Mukesh Kumar, had gone to Polijat village after getting report of a clash between two groups of a family on Saturday night.A fight erupted between two brothers, Rampal Saini and Kripal Saini, over ownership of a patch of land. His uniform was also torn by them.A case was registered the next morning against six persons and one of them was arrested.Meanwhile, the family of the accused claimed that the policeman was not attacked and he tore his uniform himself.
