Meerut dist hospital reserves ward for emergencies during Kanwar yatra

Meerut: Gearing up for the Kanwar Yatra , which will start from July 28 and go on till Shivratri on August 9, the Meerut health department has reserved a ward in the Meerut district hospital, with 10 beds, for any emergency situation that might come up during the yatra. Also, we have constituted rapid response teams, which will be available at a call to serve the kanwariyas.”The health teams will also set up camps outside the major Shiva temples, including Augarnath temple, and will remain available for any health-related problems of pilgrims. Apart from this, rapid response teams have been constituted to administer first aid to any kanwariyas who, on their way to and back from Haridwar on foot, might need it.Dr PK Bansal, superintendent in chief, PL Sharma district hospital, said, “We have reserved a ward, which has 10 beds, for any emergencies or health -related issues of kanwariyas.
