Baby rescued post shootout in Saharanpur

Meerut: Two days after an 18-month old baby boy was kidnapped from Panipat on Thursday, he was rescued on Saturday by Saharanpur police after a brief encounter with the kidnappers in Nanota village of the district. As of now, they say it is the first time that they lifted a child, but we doubt that. We immediately informed police and tried to find him throughout the night but failed. Investigations are on." The two kidnappers were arrested.According to police sources, this could be a case of child trafficking but “nothing can be said as of now with certainty as investigations are still on.” The two arrested men are Shadab Ahmad of Shamli and Mohd Mohsin, a resident of Panipat.The child’s father, Vishwas Kumar said, “My son, Sagar, was playing just outside the house when two men on a motorcycle picked him up and fled. We immediately informed police and tried to find him throughout the night but failed.
