Bijnor: A sanitation worker climbed up a mobile tower on Wednesday afternoon and demanded strict action against district panchayat raj officer Manish Kumar. He alleged that the panchayat raj officer withheld his salary without any reason and later demanded a bribe for letting him withdraw.Omveer Singh Valmiki of Bhavanipur climbed up a mobile tower in his village around 2pm and remained put there over three hours. He demanded strict action against DPRO Manish Kumar. After getting wind of the situation, police officials and additional district magistrate Vinod Kumar Gaur reached the spot and assured him that his complaints will be heard. They also promised to initiate a fair probe in this connection. After which, the man climbed down from the tower.ADM Gaur said, “I went to the scene and asked the man to climb down from the tower. He had some demands. I assured him that they will be looked upon.”On the other side, DPRO Manish Kumar refutted the allegation and said that the sanitation worker is an alcoholic and does not discharge his duties properly. “As I asked him to work properly, he is making such false allegations. A probe is pending against him,” he added.Omveer Singh Valmiki of Bhavanipur village reportedly has a dispute with the state official. Earlier, he had shot a video in which he alleged the officer was corrupt. He was suspended and sent to jail. Omveer had uploaded another video after getting released from the jail.
