DM launches Bijnor resident’s movie on Save Environment, Beti Bachao Abhiyan; gives instructions to screen the film in dist schools

Bijnor: Bijnor district magistrate Atal Rai on Sunday launched a movie based on ‘Save Environment and Beti Bachao Abhiyan’ programmes which has been made by a Bijnor resident. Meanwhile, some branches of the tree fall on the miscreants thereby burying them while they cry for help. The movie encourages environmental awareness and how one should save the girl child, will also be shown in all UP government schools in Bijnor, according to the instructions of the Bijnor district magistrate.The local actors and actresses played short roles in the film. The telefilm was released on Saturday night in presence of DM Rai. Kundan plants a sapling in her village while she is young.

The DM appreciated Alok Govil, director and producer of the film and assured him that the movie will be shown in schools and colleges.Govil said, “The movie’s title ‘Kundan’ is also the name of the lead protagonist in the film. Kundan plants a sapling in her village while she is young. She rears the plant and waters it every day.After she gets married, a youth from her village with the intention to hurt her starts cutting the tree. Kundan reaches the spot and tries to prevent the act. The miscreants then tie her with the tree. Meanwhile, some branches of the tree fall on the miscreants thereby burying them while they cry for help. Kundan’s husband reach the scene and rescues them all.“In a turning point, the same miscreants who were cutting the tree later take an oath to plant more saplings,” added Govil.
