Man goes to sister’s house for Bhai Dooj, electrocuted on way homeOrBhai Dooj tragedy: Man electrocuted after bike hits electric poleMuzaffarnagar: Hours after his sister blessed him for a long life on the occasion of Bhai Dooj on Friday, Arvind Kumar, 31, was accidentally electrocuted on way back home after his motorcycle came in contact with a live electric pole on the roadside. His shell-shocked family is yet to come to terms with his unexpected demise.According to sources, Arvind had gone to his sister’s house at Katka village for Bhai Dooj. The incident occurred in Jansath area on Khatauli road.A witness said his motorcycle collided with an electric pole. On the way, his motorcycle accidentally came in contact with a live electric pole and it caught fire before Arvind to do anything to save himself. After the ‘tilak’, blessings, sweets and gift, he decided to return home.

The incident occurred in Jansath area on Khatauli road.A witness said his motorcycle collided with an electric pole. Within seconds a spark occurred in the in high tension wire on the pole and both man and motorcycle caught fire.It took several hours for police to identify the body as it was burnt, said station house officer of Jansath police station Rajendra Kumar Nagar.Arvind was resident of Mantodi village and he worked in Khatauli sugarmill.
