Meerut: Talent hunt events will be organized at all 11 group directorates of National Cadet Corps (NCC) in Uttar Pradesh in a bid to groom budding talent at school and college level for more than 1.3 lakh youngsters enrolled with NCC in the state.Speaking at an event organized by Meerut group directorate at a private university here in Ganganagar area on Friday morning, ADG, NCC Major General AK Sapra said the talent hunt is aimed at grooming overall personality of the cadet.
“The best cadet from these talent hunts will get a chance to represent in events at national and international levels,” ADG Sapra said.Commenting on the poor availability of uniforms for young cadets, the ADG said now funds for uniforms and other allowances will be directly transferred into the accounts of the respective cadets.“It has been accepted in principle that the allowance for the uniform will now be directly deposited in the account of the cadet at the time of the enrollment on the lines of refreshment and laundry allowance.
