MEERUT: A UP constable paid with his life for yelling at an informer who had provided wrong information.The body of constable Ankur Chowdhury , who was allegedly killed by his informer, was found in a field at Falhada near Meerut in UP on January 11.Informer Amir had given a wrong piece of information for which Ankur had insulted him in front of the villagers. The accused has been arrested, who tried to make it look like a suicide case, initially. He left the pistol near the body after shooting Ankur.The family of the victim did not believe the theory and demanded investigation. Later, the FSL report confirmed it to be murder. Amir had taken Ankur out on finding out that a boy and a girl of different communities were making out in the field. On reaching the field, they turned out to be husband and wife. Following this, Ankur yelled at Amir (for giving him wrong information), after which a furious Amir planned to kill Ankur.
