Sana’s family allege that her in-laws have been harassing her and demanded Rs 10 lakh from the family.The police have registered a case against seven people including her husband and in-laws. “A case has been registered against 7 people including Husband on basis of the complaint filed by the family. Police are yet to ascertain the exact cause of her death, however, several injury marks on her body indicate demand for dowry may be the main reason. Sana’s family allege that her in-laws have been harassing her and demanded Rs 10 lakh from the family.The police have registered a case against seven people including her husband and in-laws. She was married in May 2018 we spent Rs 20 lakhs to fulfill her in-law's demands now Rs10 Lakhs cash more is being demanded by them. She was being harassed since her marriage," he said.Her family also alleged that former MLA Nawajish Alam Khan and former MP Amir Alam Khan, have been pressurising them to withdraw the case.The police have registered a case under various sections including dowry death and the body has been sent for postmortem. “A case has been registered against 7 people including Husband on basis of the complaint filed by the family. The investigation is on all accused on the run we trying to nab them,” Kapil Gautam, station house officer of Ghari Pukhta police station said.
