Govt schools yet to appoint, train teachers for 5k new English medium schools

All the reports should be sent without any delay so that the academic session is not hampered with,” said Pradeep. At present, the state has 5,000 English medium government-run schools.The state government has sent written orders to district education authorities to provide details about the teachers appointed but these are yet to be implemented.“It should be noted that instructions were given to all the district basic shiksha adhikaris to see that a total number of 5,000 schools be started as English medium schools in UP.

The education director (basic) has shown disappointment in the matter,” read the order issued by Lalita Pradeep, joint education director (basic).The letter further stated that some districts, which have provided details, have not done so in the said format. It should be noted that UP already has 5,000 English medium schools and this move was adopted to improve the quality education in the state.“This is a matter of high importance and should not be taken lightly. All the reports should be sent without any delay so that the academic session is not hampered with,” said Pradeep.
