Meerut: To restrict teachers from taking leaves during evaluation of UP board exam answer sheets, the district inspector of schools (DIOS) has given instructions to cut a day’s salary of those teachers who take leaves without prior notice.“We have to ensure that the exams answer sheets are evaluated without any delay.
I have decided to cut a day’s salary of those found absent during evaluation,” said Meerut district inspector of schools, GK Chaudhary.Evaluation of UP board exam answer sheets started in Meerut on March 10.
The absence of teachers during evaluation is the reason which slows down the process.
In Meerut region alone, there are a total of 5.44 lakh copies which are being evaluated at four centres – Government Inter College (Meerut), Ram Sahai Inter College, SD Inter College (Sadar) and KK Inter College.“Many teachers are taking leaves without any prior notice despite being assigned the job of evaluating the answer sheets.
