Meerut: Three days after a junior engineer (JE) was found murdered at his home, Meerut Police on Saturday arrested his wife, 34, her paramour and his 13 year-old daughter for the crime, and claimed that the 41-year-old man was killed by the trio as he was allegedly sexually exploiting the minor girl.According to police, the JE’s wife, along with her paramour and teen daughter hatched the conspiracy to get rid of him. “The JE was sexually exploiting the 13-year-old girl for over a year,” a police officer said.According to police sources, the girl tied her father on bed before informing the mother’s paramour, who slit his throat.In their confession, the woman said that when the man tried to repeat the despicable act on his younger daughter, who is just 10-years-old, she planned to eliminate her husband.“It was a pre-planned murder. The woman sent her younger daughter and six-year-old son to play outside. Elder daughter tied her father, and soon the woman called her paramour, who was waiting at Jail Chungi crossing. After the murder, the woman-daughter duo left the spot while paramour changed clothes and left later,” said Akhilesh Narayan Singh, SP (City) Meerut.Initially, woman in her statement to the police had claimed that she was visiting a doctor when the incident happened and came to know about it later.Going by the friendly entry of the perpetrators, no signs of struggle and valuables intact, police had ruled out the case to be an incident of robbery. “We began probing the background of deceased with his colleagues, relatives and acquaintances in Meerut and in Bulandshahr where he was posted before his transfer. Eventually, we also learnt about woman’s paramour who was detained for interrogation. With new facts, we connected all the dots,” SP (city) said.Police, on their part, called it a “pre-mediated” crime and booked the minor girl for murder. She was not given the benefit of self-defence in the murder of 38-year-old junior engineer of Power Corporation.
