3 days after Uber driver was found dead in Bulandshahr, cabbie killed in Shamli

Meerut: Three days after an Uber cab driver was found dead in Bulandshahr in his car, another taxi driver was killed in Shamli. Sahil Khan had picked up unidentified passengers from Delhi for Bulandshahr without getting a formal booking on Tuesday night, police added. The motive of murder is still unclear and we are conducting raids to nab the culprits.”On Wednesday, a Delhi-based Uber driver, Sahil Khan, was allegedly murdered by unknown assailants in the early hours. Three men had hired a taxi in Muzaffarnagar and allegedly shot dead Azeem Khan, 23, on reaching Garhipukta area in Shamli district before throwing his body on the roadside. However, they alleged that police did not take any action after which they began searching for Azeem Khan on their own.

Three men had hired a taxi in Muzaffarnagar and allegedly shot dead Azeem Khan, 23, on reaching Garhipukta area in Shamli district before throwing his body on the roadside. The deceased was a resident of Muzaffarnagar’s Kashiram Colony.According to police sources, Khan was approached by two neighbours — Shivam and Aarav — who hired his taxi and took him to Shamli on Friday evening. When he did not return home, his relatives complained to police. However, they alleged that police did not take any action after which they began searching for Azeem Khan on their own. When they reached Bhainswal village, they found his bullet-ridden body.Vijay Kumar, SHO, Garhipukta police station in Shamli, said, “An FIR has been filed against three persons — Shivam, Ashish and Aarav — under IPC sections 364 (kidnapping in order to murder), 201 (causing disappearance of evidence of offence) and 302 (murder). The motive of murder is still unclear and we are conducting raids to nab the culprits.”On Wednesday, a Delhi-based Uber driver, Sahil Khan, was allegedly murdered by unknown assailants in the early hours. Prima facie, police say, he died due to asphyxiation. His body was found early Wednesday on Sikandrabad road. Sahil Khan had picked up unidentified passengers from Delhi for Bulandshahr without getting a formal booking on Tuesday night, police added.
