Bizman falls to death from paramour’s apartment; injury marks ‘suggest murder’

Meerut: A 40-year-old property dealer fell to his death from the seventh floor of a residential apartment on Bijli Bamba bypass road of the city. The body of Neeraj Kumar was found in a pool of blood on Monday morning with police suspecting it to be a case of murder. Meerut: A 40-year-old property dealer fell to his death from the seventh floor of a residential apartment on Bijli Bamba bypass road of the city. The body of Neeraj Kumar was found in a pool of blood on Monday morning with police suspecting it to be a case of murder. There were injury marks on the body of Kumar, suggesting that he may have been attacked before being thrown off the building.Police have booked Kumar’s paramour, her mother and two others for murder.According to police, Kumar, who was married and had two children, was living with his paramour in the housing society, where he died. They also said that Kumar’s wife and paramour used to fight regularly.Soon after Kumar’s death, a huge ruckus ensued at the apartment as deceased’s wife and other relatives attacked Kumar’s paramour and her mother alleging that they were behind the murder.Based on the complaint of Kumar’s family, an FIR under section 302 (murder) was registered at Partapur police station. Four people, including Kumar’s paramour and her mother, were named in the FIR.Sources claim that there were injury marks inflicted by a sharp object on Kumar’s body. Police, however, are waiting for post mortem report to know the exact cause of death.“Prima facie, it looks like either he jumped off, or was thrown from the seventh floor. There are injury marks on his body but we have no clarity as of now. We are waiting for post mortem report before arriving on any conclusion,” Akhilesh Narayan Singh, SP (city) said.
