The company’s contract was set to get over on February 11, but the officials were assured that their facilities will not be discontinued and they will work under the National Health Mission. However, now a written communication has been issued to them stating that they don’t need to work anymore.“Our contract with the company was supposed to end on February 11. Despite this, we were asked by the National Health Mission employees to continue and we were told that we will be absorbed by them. However, we were asked to stop working after March 31,” said Shivam Tyagi, senior support executive,While 12 employees are working under this scheme in district hospital, 12 are working in LLRM Medical College. All 24 have gone on strike. “We have also not got payment since January and now suddenly we have been told that our services are not needed. Either we should be allowed to give services under NHM or our service duration under the company’s contract be extended,” said Tyagi, who was one of those protesting here.“We did not let the e hospital facility get hampered here.
