MEERUT: A special Pocso (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) court in Meerut on Thursday sentenced a 70-year-old man to 10 years of rigorous imprisonment for raping a five-year-old girl after abducting her while she was playing outside her house in a Meerut locality in 2019.The additional district and sessions judge, Yasmeen Akbar, also imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 on the convict, with the full amount set to be provided to the child as compensation.
