Two kids get locked in car, die of asphyxiation

He lived there with his family.On Monday noon, Kunwarpal and his wife had gone to the field to take fodder for cattle. Upon return, they found their daughters — Soni (8) and Moni (5) — missing from the farm house. They started searching for them and found them unconscious in the car’s back seat, which was locked.Kunwarpal informed farm owner Sukhvindra Singh about the children.

Bijnor: Two kids aged five and eight years died of asphyxiation after they got locked inside a Scorpio car of a local resident at whose house their parents worked as servants.It was only after their parents started searching for them, when they found both of them lying unconscious inside the car.Both children were rushed to a hospital, where doctors declared them dead upon arrival.Police are investigating the matter.According to police complaint, Kunwarpal Singh, a resident of Umarpur Natthan village under Rehar police station, used to work as a labourer at a farm located in Agwanpur village under Afjalgarh police station. He lived there with his family.On Monday noon, Kunwarpal and his wife had gone to the field to take fodder for cattle. Upon return, they found their daughters — Soni (8) and Moni (5) — missing from the farm house. They started searching for them and found them unconscious in the car’s back seat, which was locked.Kunwarpal informed farm owner Sukhvindra Singh about the children. Sukhvindra rushed to the car and brought the girls out. But both the girls had died by then.Later, Kunwarpal took his daughters’ bodies to his native village Umarpur and filed a complaint with the Rehar police.Following the complaint, a police team on Tuesday morning reached the spot and inspected the place and car, where the girls’ bodies were found.Rehar SHO Bijendra Singh Rana said, “Police had sent the bodies for post-mortem, and, according to post-mortem reports, the girls had died of asphyxiation. It is believed that both girls might have opened the door of the car and sat inside. Afterwards, they might have locked the car from inside and later, they failed to reopen it.”Kunwarpal had taken his third daughter, who is just one-year-old, along with him, whereas his other two daughters were at the farmhouse when incident occurred.
