Fortunately, one boy from my college from FYJC got ready to write my paper for tomorrow. Shaikh, who is completely blind, initially arranged an adult writer to write his papers. Hence, the adult writer himself helped me to get a student from one class lower than me to write my exam. Shaikh said, “Unfortunately, I could not get permission for an adult writer for my exams. Hence, the adult writer arranged a writer one class lower to him from the same college for Shaikh, a day prior to his first paper.

It is not an easy job to get a writer to write your examination, feels Imran Shaikh (23), an HSC student, from a South Mumbai College, who struggled to get writer a day before the exam, and now after finishing the first paper. After writing his first paper, Shaikh’s writer quit. Shaikh, who is completely blind, initially arranged an adult writer to write his papers. According to him, despite him being completely blind, he could not get permission for an adult writer to write his exam from the same college where he is studying. Hence, the adult writer arranged a writer one class lower to him from the same college for Shaikh, a day prior to his first paper. Shaikh said, “Unfortunately, I could not get permission for an adult writer for my exams. Hence, the adult writer himself helped me to get a student from one class lower than me to write my exam. A girl student was ready to write my exam and also came along with me at my exam centre, but she was a bit nervous. After finishing the first paper, she told me (Wednesday) that she won’t be able to continue as she wants to attend lectures of her FYJC. Hence, I panicked and again started asking people for help. I also called Pearls of Vision organization to help me to get a writer as tomorrow (Thursday) is my Hindi paper. Fortunately, one boy from my college from FYJC got ready to write my paper for tomorrow. Hope he comes for all my papers. It is very difficult to get a writer and ensuring that he/ she stays for all the papers.” When Shaikh called Pearls of Vision organization, which works with visually challenged students, Ummehaani Bagasrawala, founder of the organisation said, “I have been receiving hundreds of hoax calls and none of them are ready to help.” PROBLEMS GALORE
