8-year-old’s organs give new lease of life to four

The organs have given a new lease of life to four critically ill patients, including three children.
Mumbai: The family of an eight-year-old girl, declared brain dead at Lilavati Hospital in Bandra, donated her organs on Tuesday.
While her heart was given to a 10-year-old girl admitted in Fortis Hospital, the liver went to a 32-year-old man in Jaslok Hospital.
The 16-year-old kidney recipient was admitted to hospital on Monday, shortly after appearing for her Class X examination, for the transplant.
The girl, a resident of south Mumbai, had been admitted on February 27 due to a brain aneurysm.
