API booked for sending ‘vulgar’ messages

Assistant Police Inspector Chandrakant Kamble with Antop Hill police station has been booked for sending vulgar WhatsApp messages to a 38-year-old woman from Nerul, said the police. Mr. Kamble and the complainant belonged to a common WhatsApp group and he sent her personal messages on July 15. He also threatened her with dire consequences if she told anyone about the messages, the police said.
