Cops return Rs 80L stolen from Mum bizman’s worker

In this case, Businessman Nasir Khan’s employee, Rajeshwar Shastri, from whom three people had snatched a bag containing Rs 88 lakh in February this year.The property owners, who got thier recovered belongings back, lauded the police action. MUMBAI: Five months after three people were arrested for stealing Rs 86 lakh, the police returned the booty to its owner at an event held on Saturday to return valuables retrieved from “thieves” to 40 such owners.Valuables of a total value of nearly Rs 1.6 crore, including Rs 1 crore cash, were handed over. Businessman Habib Nasir, who had lost a gold-studden diamond ring, said, “ I am thankful to the police for this recovery.”DCP Manoj Kumar Sharma said, “Once we recover the property, the main aim is to return it to the owners.” Additional commissioner of police Pravin Padwal said all police stations worked hard to recover property.
