The MIDC police on Thursday arrested a second person allegedly involved in case wherein shots were fired at a scrap dealer earlier this month. The arrested person has been identified as Firoz Bashir Khan, a resident of Indore. The police had earlier this week arrested a Sikand Razaan Saha in the case. According to the police, in the wee hours of August 4, two unknown bike-borne persons had fired upon complainant Aslam Khan, 58, a resident of Marol, when Khan was returning home after parking his Mercedes car. Khan had sustained injury in the stomach. The bikers had immediately fled the spot. The police were then informed after which Khan was rushed to a hospital. During the probe, the police first arrested Saha, a resident of Agripada, for allegedly giving supari to shooters to bump off Khan. "It was Firoz who had arranged for shooters for Saha. Firoz was picked up from his Indore residence. His interrogation revealed that both the shooters were from Madhya Pradesh. Probe has revealed that Saha and Khan had some financial dispute because of which Saha had decided to eliminate Khan and had hatched the conspiracy to bump him off and gave supari," said a police officer. Firoz was produced before a local court, which remanded him to police custody till August 21, police said.
